Vitis Vinifera (Grapeseed Oil)
Grapeseed Oil is a very popular Carrier Oil due to its ability to penetrate and absorb into the skin quickly.
It contains a high percentage of linoleic acid (more than any other carrier oil). Linoleic acid is a fatty acid that is essential for the body to create ceramides. The body cannot naturally make fatty acids; thus, we need to get them from our food or what we put on our skin. Ceramides help make the skin’s barrier stronger to prevent the permeability of water. This locks moisture into your skin, preventing dryness and irritation. Grapeseed oil also contains a high percentage of Vitamin C, A & E, Iron, Calcium, Omega 6 & 9 and anti-oxidants. It also has astringent qualities, assisting with controlling oil production, which is excellent for oil and acne-prone skin.
Oxycoccus Palustris (Cranberry Seed Oil)
The anti-aging wonder. The cranberry seed oil contains many antioxidants such as Vitamin A, C, E, and K. Antioxidants defend your body from the damage and inflammation caused by free radicals – the nasty molecules that speed up our aging process and lead to skin damage such as pigmentation, loss of elasticity, reduced collagen wrinkles etc. Thus Cranberry seed oil boosts skins collagen and reduces melatonin production, limiting the appearance of ages spots.
Being rich in Omega 3 and Benzoic Acid, Cranberry Seed oil fights skin irritation and inflation. It strengthens the skin protective barrier, aiding with dry skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and rosacea.
Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry Seed Oil)
This oil is rich in Ellagic acid – a powerhouse antioxidant, making it an excellent anti-aging ingredient. The oil has also been shown to brighten the skin and improve pigmentation.
Hippophae Rhamnoides L (Seabuckthorn Oil)
This oil contains a high percentage of Linoleic and Oleic fatty acids, all of which play a role in maintaining the skins natural barrier function. Thus, strengthening, nourishing, smoothing and hydrating the skin.
Vaccinium Corymbosum (Blueberry Seed Oil)
Blueberry seed is a potent source of tocopherols and carotenoids, both strong antioxidants. Tocopherol is a form of Vitamin E which makes up 96% of your skin’s natural antioxidant defence system. Together, they absorb UV rays, prevent free radical damage, act as anti-inflammatory agents, and reduce pollution-related free radical damage.
The blueberry seed oil also has a high percentage of Omega acids and linolenic acid, providing deep hydration skin.
Rubus Fructicosus (Blackberry Oil)
Blackberry oil consists of 83% essential fatty acids. Essential fatty acids help strengthen your skin’s barrier to lock in moisture. In addition, it contains a high percentage of Vit E, C and A, making it nourishing and soothing. As well as this, it has fantastic antioxidant properties.
Blackberry oil contains polyphenols and ellagic acid, which aid in relieving itchiness. Additionally, blackberry oil is anti-bacterial, helping kill acne causing bacteria.
Canina Fruit (Rosehip Oil)
This wonder oil has a significant number of powerful qualities. First, Rosehip oil is packed with essential fatty acids. Essential fatty acids are the building blocks for healthy cell membranes, helping the skin produce its natural oil barrier and critical for keeping the skin deeply hydrated. In addition, Rosehip oil contains a high level of Vitamin C. Together, this aids with the repair of scars, help soothe burns & irritated skin, nourishes dry skin and assists with eczema. This makes it the perfect ingredient for aging skin.
Rosehip oil is also a natural exfoliant, brightening the skin and improving skins texture.
Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract (Rosemary)
Rosemary contains several antioxidants and revitalising elements such as carnosic acid and rosmarinic acid to promote radiant-looking skin.
